Bengaluru BJP MLAs seek Rs 50 crore development fund from Karnataka government
India TodayBengaluru BJP MLAs followed the suit of first-time assembly representatives and appealed to the Karnataka government for a special grant of Rs 50 crore. The BJP MLAs from Bengaluru wrote a formal letter, addressed to Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, and highlighted the urgent need to repair major roads and address connectivity issues in the district. According to the letter, signed by 15 BJP MLAs including Ashwath Narayan and R Ashok, there was an urgent need to improve the connectivity infrastructure in the Silicon Valley of the East, as they are struggling to keep up with international standards. The letter by BJP MLAs of Bengaluru came a day after first-time BJP MLAs in the state wrote to the Chief Minister seeking Rs 100 crore each for development of their constituencies.
