Medical cooperation advances in Greater Bay Area

China Daily

The medical faculty members at Chinese University of Hong Kong and Guangzhou's Nansha district health bureau signed a framework agreement to advance medical cooperation in the months to come. Under the agreement, both sides will establish a close consultation and cooperation mechanism to build a high-end medical talent training and research innovation platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The medical faculty at CUHK will fully utilize the huge data and case support of the 80 million population in the Greater Bay Area to strengthen medical research and training and introduce cutting-edge innovative medical research results to better serve Hong Kong and Macao residents. Nansha will also use the cooperation platform to introduce high-quality Hong Kong-style hospital management experience, promote mutual recognition of inspection results between the two regions and explore cross-border referral and transfer pilot projects.
