Interpol issues first Silver Notice: All about its 8 colour-coded notices

Interpol has issued its first Silver Notice to locate laundered assets across borders as part of a pilot project involving 52 countries, including India. The International Criminal Police Organization announced the first Silver Notice at the request of Italy, seeking information on assets belonging to a senior mafia member. The Silver Notice is part of a new set of notices designed to help countries share alerts and request information globally. Countries can request information about assets linked to criminal activities such as fraud, corruption, drug trafficking, environmental crime, and other serious offenses via Silver Notices or Silver Diffusion notices sent to select countries.
