TPCC likely to fill party posts in run-up to assembly elections
Deccan ChronicleADILABAD: The TPCC is likely to fill up the vacant posts and create additional posts in the state committee by naming a few state general secretaries and vice presidents and adding a large number of secretary posts. State party chief Revanth Reddy hopes to get clearance for this from the AICC so as to strengthen the party in the run-up to the assembly elections, which are five months away. Revanth Reddy filled up TPCC general secretary and vice-president posts but this caused “senior–junior” differences among the party leaders in December 2022. According to sources, Revanth Reddy’s second-time effort to fill up the party posts is viewed by some Congressmen as part of his attempts to strengthen his own hands, more than the party. A senior Congress leader from Adilabad told Deccan Chronicle that he met the party Telangana in charge Manikrao Thakre and requested him to give him a suitable post by considering his seniority.
