WhatsApp users on Android may soon get new privacy features, audio and video call controls
WhatsApp is rolling out a fresh batch of features for Android users, focusing on improved control during calls and enhanced privacy for shared media. The second update concerns video calls, giving users the option to disable their camera before answering. It also adds a degree of privacy when dealing with unknown callers, as users will not automatically show up on screen upon picking up a video call. Traditionally, any photo or video received on WhatsApp would be automatically saved to the recipient's phone storage – something that has raised privacy and security concerns among users.
