'All of a sudden it exploded': Treating a hole in the eye

Norman Swan: It's very uncomfortable to get something in your eye, it leads to irritation, watering and often your vision is blurry. Chameen Samarawickrama: This is Graham Lowe, he's a patient of mine, and for the last 10 years now he's had the herpes virus, which is the cold sore virus, in his left eye. Chameen Samarawickrama: Dr Dana Robaei is an ophthalmologist or eye surgeon who specialises in corneal surgery. Graham Lowe: I woke up the next morning, went back down the eye clinic and they took one look at it and said it's gone, the glue's gone.
