'Don't push us into using bombs, guns': Ex-soldier booked for remarks during BJP protest in TN
India TodayColonel BB Pandian, a member of the Tamil Nadu BJP's ex-servicemen cell, was booked by Chennai Police after he threatened the DMK government about using "bombs and guns" in the state if the government continued to "trouble Armymen". The ex-serviceman made the controversial remarks during a protest organised by the state unit of BJP in Chennai over the murder of an Army jawan in Krishnagiri district by a DMK councillor. While delivering his speech, Pandian warned the DMK government that ex-servicemen were well-trained in using bombs and guns and that the government should not push the veterans into using them. Even as he described the Indian Army as a "disciplined force", Pandian threatened that if the government continued to needle Armymen, then "it won't bode well for Tamil Nadu and for the state govt".
