Vietnamese restaurant-owning Tran family allowed to remain in Tasmania after federal intervention

Mia said they understood the restrictions, but the inability to mourn properly "really compounded" her family's grief. But what eventually followed was "the best outcome we could have possibly hoped for" the family's current migration agent, Jacqui Yang, said. Ms Yang said Minister Andrew Giles's office has "recognised the contributions the Tran family have made to the Australian community and have demonstrated compassion in what was a devastating situation due to incorrect migration advice".
