Tiruchi Corporation ramps up surveillance to monitor monsoon-related diseases

With the city receiving a substantial amount of rainfall for the past few days, Tiruchi Corporation has stepped up surveillance to monitor the outbreak of monsoon-related diseases. According to the source, Tiruchi city, on an average registers around 25 fever cases every day, and there are no active dengue cases. Special fever camps are being conducted at the 18 Urban Primary Health Centres, morning and evening, every day. To keep track, the Corporation’s health department collates data from UPHCs, medical labs, and private hospitals about the number and type of fever cases with basic information about the patient.
