Little reprieve in sight for central and north Queensland as sweltering heatwave conditions continue
ABCIt's only the fourth day of the month but temperature records for March have been broken in central and northern Queensland, with little reprieve in sight from the extreme heatwave conditions. Bats and Trees Society of Cairns secretary Sera Steves said while temperatures were not quite as high this year, carers were keeping watch over several camps of flying foxes around the city.
