Voice to Parliament referendum pamphlets for Yes and No camps published by AEC
ABCThe No camp in the Voice to Parliament referendum has used its official campaign pamphlet to tell people "if you don't know, vote no" while the Yes side is calling on voters to "unite the nation". Key points: Pamphlets outlining the cases for the Yes and No sides will be mailed to all Australian households ahead of the referendum The No campaign is arguing the Voice would be "legally risky" and result in excessive litigation The Yes camp says concrete results will come from constitutional recognition and there is "nothing to fear" The Australian Electoral Commission published the official Yes and No cases on its website on Tuesday morning which will be sent to all Australian households before the referendum. Former High Court judge Ian Callinan says there would be a "decade" of litigation on how to interpret the Voice. The submission quotes Indigenous man and leading Yes campaigner Thomas Mayo, who previously said "Pay The Rent" could be looked at after the Voice as a way to make reparations to First Nations people.
