ABP NewsThe counting of votes for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand was held on November 23, three days after voting concluded in both the states. Meanwhile, in Jharkhand, the JMM-Congress alliance contested the Assembly polls in coalition to retain power, while the NDA, fought hard to come to power by overthrowing CM Hemant Soren's government. In a historic and massive win, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance swept the Maharashtra polls, trouncing the Maha Vikas Aghadi with a landslide victory. Mahayuti has won 230 of the 288 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly election, with the saffron party emerging as the single largest party, bagging 132 seats on its own. The MVA, which comprises of Congress, NCP-SP, and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena managed to win merely 48 seats.
