DK Shivakumar promises action against MLA wanting revocation of guarantees
Reiterating that the government would not halt guarantee schemes, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday said the Congress would issue a show-cause notice to its MLA Gaviyappa, HR Gaviyappa, for his statement on guarantees. Gaviyappa courted controversy and disciplinary action by the party for urging Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to revoke two or three guarantee schemes. No MLA of the Congress party should question the guarantee schemes, we will initiate action if anyone does so.” Asked about the Delhi visit, he said, “I am travelling to Delhi to meet Union ministers regarding the Mahadayi project. Former PM Deve Gowda also said that he would get approval for the Mekedatu project.” When asked if he would meet the Congress high command, he said, “Of course, Congress head office is like our temple.
