'Now I can go back proud': Farmers head home after year-long protest at Delhi borders, receive royal welcome
India TodayAfter protesting at the borders of the national capital for more than a year, farmers began their ‘victory march’ back home on Saturday and were royally welcomed at different points in Punjab and Haryana with sweets and garlands. In November 2020, farmers had gathered at Delhi’s Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur borders in large numbers to protest against the Centre's three farm laws, which were finally repealed in Parliament earlier this month.
