India Today Conclave: India cannot turn into a sporting powerhouse if there is no sporting culture, says Kiren Rijiju

Kiren Rijiju feels the sporting culture in India needs to grow even more so that the country can become a sporting powerhouse and win more medals at the Olympics. The former sports minister, speaking at the India Today Conclave, opened up on how the sporting culture can be developed in India and what more needs to be done to make sure the country achieves success at the highest levels on a consistent basis. This has happened because of a lack of sporting culture," Rijiju told India Today's Rahul Kanwal. The 50-year-old minister also urged the people to start following Indian sports like malkham, kho-kho, etc.
