
A.P. capital may get a Singapore touch
The HinduIf the visiting Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his team of industrialists are to be believed, the Singapore Government is most likely to build a replica of its infrastructure near Vijayawada for the purpose of the capital city. Preparation of a detailed master plan by the officials of the Singapore government is underway and the city-state is also understood to have evinced interest in the construction of the capital city. ‘Farmers willing’ Mr. Naidu said farmers have already come forward to share 30,000 acres for the purpose of building the capital city. Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Singapore government has shown interest in participating in the construction of the entire capital city along with planned clusters.
