Myles Garrett, Browns deliver ‘lights out’ defensive performance in rout of Titans

CLEVELAND — Even after using their last timeout with 13 seconds left in the second quarter, the only way the Tennessee Titans could have squandered a chance to save some face and get at least three points out of their promising drive before halftime was to somehow let certified game-wrecker Myles Garrett run free into their backfield and sack quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Three games in, the Browns have been so good defensively that they’re toying with offensive game plans on their way to repeatedly tossing opposing quarterbacks. The single field goal they allowed Sunday came after the Titans recovered a fumble and returned it to the Browns’ 17-yard line late in the first quarter. For the second time in three games, a Browns offense that’s still trying to find itself got plenty of chances to work on things — and did pretty well in helping to slam the door on the Titans.
