NEP will help increase employability level of candidates: Karnataka higher education minister
India TodayDr C N Ashwath Narayan, the Karnataka minister for higher education said that the effective implementation of the National Education Policy will help increase the employability levels of candidates, which is currently at around just 20 percent. The minister made the comments while addressing Karnataka's first National Education Policy conclave on the theme "Strategising the Future of Higher Education". Aim and purpose of NEP The Karnataka Higher Education minister further clarified, "It is a false notion to say that implementation of National Education Policy will lead to commercialisation of education. In his address at the conclave, Tom M Joseph, the executive director, strategy and development, ISDC, UK, said, "The recently announced National Education Policy 2020 can lead an orbital shift with its focus on transforming the education sector through investments into various areas of skill development including project-based learning, experiential learning, service-learning, and vocational training."
