Palaniswami rejects Stalin’s criticism, questions DMK government on multiple fronts

Criticising Chief Minister M.K. In his reply to a criticism made by Mr. Stalin against him during a meeting in Sivaganga on January 25, Mr. Palaniswami referred to the electoral assurances made by the DMK and said the government did not implement even one initiative that would directly benefit the people. In a challenge posed to Mr. Stalin, Mr. Palaniswami called for listing the welfare initiatives by the DMK government and let the people decide on them. Rejecting Mr. Stalin’s criticism of AIADMK’s submissiveness to the BJP, Mr. Palaniswami asked who was part of the alliance with the BJP and eventually part of the BJP government in the Centre. “Who organised the event in which BJP leader released the commemorative coin to mark the centenary of late DMK leader M. Karunanidhi?” Reiterating his position on the weak finances of the Tamil Nadu government, Mr. Palaniswami called for White Paper in this regard so that people would be able to realise the truth.
