John Abraham says Bollywood 'loves to write obituaries after a film flops'

India Today

Bollywood actor John Abraham, who is currently promoting his upcoming film The Diplomat, noted that people in the Hindi film industry take "sadistic pleasure" in the failure of others. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, John said, "I am probably one of the few, but I celebrate when any film does well. We have a tendency of writing obituaries and writing people off, and within the industry, saying, ‘Voh pit gayi, pit gayi.’ There’s a sadistic pleasure." Recently, John congratulated Chhaava actor Vicky Kaushal and producer Dinesh Vijan on the film's success.
