Explore Guilin's towns named after dragon
China DailyGuilin city is home to numerous towns and townships named after the dragon, known as "long" in Chinese, making them well worth exploring. Longhu town, located in the northeastern part of the Gongcheng Yao autonomous county in Guilin, is below the historic Longhu Gate at the southern foothills of the Wuling mountain. Longhuai town in Lipu city, Guilin, formerly known as Sanhe town, was renamed in 2004 after the permanent site of the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention established in the Longhuai scenic area. Longji town, located in the Longsheng Various Nationalities autonomous county in Guilin, is the site of the famous Longji Rice Terraces. Qinglong town, under the jurisdiction of Pingle county in Guilin, is renowned for its Qinglong and Yanyue mountains, with the latter resembling a stone arch bridge spanning the township's pastoral landscape.
