Terror accused held trial blast at Shivamogga
Deccan ChronicleBENGALURU: Shivamogga police's interrogation of the accused persons arrested in connection with terror links has thrown light into the accused successfully conducting a trial blast of the bombs they made and how they gained the knowledge of making bombs with the help of their terror network. Shivamogga Superintendent of Police Dr Lakshmi Prasad said that the accused conducted a test blast which had an impact of about 3 feet at the blast site on the banks of River Tunga. Police also have recovered materials such as relay circuits, bulbs, matchboxes, wires, batteries, a dongle, a pen drive containing bomb making details, pen drive and locally available explosive materials, all used in making bombs The accused, Yasin is an electrical engineer and his accomplice Maaz a mechanical engineer. The idea of making bombs, the SP said, was through details shared by accused one Sariq who is yet to be arrested by the police.
