Telangana Secretariat staff to record attendance through facial recognition

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary A Shanthi Kumar on Wednesday informed that the recording of attendance of all regular Secretariat officers and employees including the staff working on outsourcing basis of all departments, for whom payments are being made from the Secretariat Heads of accounts, will be through the Facial Recognition System with effect from December 12. In a note circulated to all departments, she asked all the officers and staff working in their departments concerned to inform them about the same to record their attendance in any of the devices installed at all the entry points of the Secretariat building. In case of any issues with regard to recording of attendance, the officers and staff may be requested to contact the staff on duty at the entry points or may message or WhatsApp to numbers for resolving the same instantly - Praveen Kumar-8179232111 and 9704070011, Saritha- 9676621156. It was further requested that all the departments should maintain the physical attendance system also till December 13.
