In short: A forensic fire expert has given evidence at the murder trial of Greg Lynn. Mr Xydias also said the fire that destroyed Russell Hill and Carol Clay's campsite was likely not accidental. Jurors also heard evidence that one bone fragment discovered at the remote site, near Union Spur Track, was able to be linked to Mr Hill through DNA analysis. Police expert shares findings from two remote sites George Xydias, a police forensic expert with more than three decades of experience, told the court how he first attended the burnt campsite believed to belong to Russell Hill and Carol Clay in April 2020. The court heard that the bodies of Carol Clay and Russell Hill were moved to a remote site in Victoria's High Country following their deaths.
