The HinduSaxena appealed to the people of Delhi on Sunday to exercise their franchise and vote to thwart “publicity-managed” consent or dissent in the upcoming Assembly election in Delhi. “We will have to take the right decision overcoming the spell of publicity manufactured consent and dissent,” Mr. Saxena said in his Republic Day address. Our vote will decide the steps to be taken by the next government regarding air pollution, Yamuna cleaning and welfare measures for all people, including weaker sections in Delhi,” Mr. Saxena said. “The voting on February 5 for the Delhi Assembly poll will decide the next five years of the people, their children, society and Delhi,” he said. On Saturday Chief Minister Atishi, while addressing a Republic Day event, said the AAP government has taken major strides in the past 10 years to transform schools, improve healthcare and provide uninterrupted power.
