KAT cancels Circle Inspector’s suspension, reinstates him in service
The HinduThe Karnataka Administrative Tribunal has cancelled the State government’s order to suspend a Circle Inspector of Police and reinstated him in service at Khanapur Police Station where he was serving earlier. The State government issued the order of suspension to Inspector Manjunath Naik following complaints against him regarding the arrest of MLC C.T. However, senior officers of the Police Department were upset that some BJP leaders, including some legislators, held a meeting in the Khanapur Police Station. The KAT order asks senior police officers to “immediately re-assign the petitioner to the same police station where he was working and release all emoluments he was entitled to, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”
