'I don't appreciate your tone': Cannon snaps at Trump prosecutor amid testy exchange

Raw Story

The federal judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents case snapped at prosecutors Monday during a tense discussion about their gag order demand, CNN reported Monday. Prosecutor David Harbach was chastised twice in 20 minutes as he argued Cannon should protect the identities of law enforcement officials tied to the Espionage Act violations case, according to the report. Harbach appeared "irritated" as Cannon demanded he make the connection between Trump's rhetoric outside of court and threats faced by law enforcement officials tied to the case. Earlier Monday, Cannon scolded James Pearce, Harbach's colleague from special counsel Jack Smith's office, during another tense talk about case law.
