Hyderabad: Telangana’s green energy policy is on the verge of completion and set to launch soon, announced Musharaff Faruqui, CMD of Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company. Speaking at an international conference on clean energy for MSMEs, Faruqui emphasised the state’s potential to adopt green energy despite being landlocked and offering free electricity to farmers. Srinivas Cherla of the Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad urged policy reforms and highlighted the economic benefits of green energy. FTCCI president Suresh Kumar Singhal and Dr Sunchu Glory Swarupa of Ni-MSME called for government support to facilitate the transition, describing the initiative as a move towards a ‘clean energy revolution’ in India.
