Brentford pursuing deal for Liverpool youngster... with the Reds looking to secure a fee of around £20m for the Dutch youth international

Brentford are pushing for a deal to sign Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg from Liverpool. Van den Berg arrived at Anfield in 2019 having impressed at his boyhood club PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie. Brentford are pursuing a deal to sign Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg from Liverpool The 22-year-old arrived at Anfield in 2019 but has spent the last four seasons out on loan Van den Berg's performances at Mainz last season have attracted admirers from across Europe However, despite making several cup appearances during his maiden campaign on Merseyside Van den Berg has failed to work his way into first-team plans at the club and has spent the last four seasons on loan. During his time at the Mewa Arena Van den Berg made 33 appearances and netted three times as the club recovered from a disastrous start to go undefeated in their last nine games and secure a mid-table finish.
