Bhatti: Govt will fill 2 lakh vacancies

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Congress government is committed to filling two lakh vacancies across various departments, as promised during the Assembly polls. To streamline the recruitment process, the Congress government has introduced an annual job calendar, a unique initiative in the country, which provides a clear schedule for competitive exams on the lines UPSC recruitment calendar. The Deputy Chief Minister stressed the importance of representation from Telangana in the civil services, saying that it would benefit the state in areas like policy design and budget management. "More students from North India are clearing the civil services exams, largely due to the greater number of coaching facilities available there,” he noted, underscoring the need to establish more training centres in Telangana to boost the success rate of candidates from the state.
