Petition Opposes Appointment of Senior Official in TGERC

Deccan Chronicle

Hyderabad: A petition has been filed before the Telangana High Court against the selection of Rondla Laxma Reddy as the deputy director in Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The petition alleges that the selection is non- transparent and violates provisions mentioned in the notification issued for filling up the post and alleged that the post was sold for a price. The petitioner Sridhar Mula pointed out that the notification had mentioned that the candidate will be selected based on an interview or a written examination and interview. Senior counsel Aloori Giridhar Rao representing the petitioner, brought to the notice of the court that TGERC had not uploaded any details in its website about the developments of the recruitment but had on September 3 uploaded the news that Laxma Reddy was selected to the post.
