The third season of the beloved series was released last Thursday, coinciding with America’s fourth of July celebrations, and more than 40.7m households have watched at least one episode in its first four days – the most-watched in Netflix history. Last month, it released its new Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston film Murder Mystery, which was viewed by almost 30.9m users in its first three days of release. This is even more staggering when you consider that Will Smith film Bright was watched by 11m in just as many days upon its release in December 2017 – and that it was considered one of Netflix’s most-watched original titles at the time.
