Train derails, climbs platform at Mathura railway station
An electric multiple unit train coming from Delhi derailed and climbed onto a platform at Mathura Junction on Tuesday night, injuring one person. However, when another railway staffer proceeded to park the train, it picked up speed, broke the stopper and climbed onto the platform. The incident also disrupted the schedules of several other trains, including the Malwa Super Fast, Amritsar-Bandra, and Dakshin Express, which were rerouted to different platforms. Divisional Railway Manager Tej Prakash Agrawal has suspended five persons, including the staffer who got in to park the train, in connection with the incident.
