Noah Gragson suspended by NASCAR, Legacy Motor Club for actions on social media

NASCAR announced shortly after that it has also suspended Gragson for his “actions on social media.” Legacy, co-owned by Maury Gallagher and seven-time Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, named Josh Berry to replace Gragson as the driver for its No. 42 entry for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan.” “NASCAR fully supports Legacy Motor Club’s decision to suspend Noah Gragson,” NASCAR’s statement read. “Following his actions on social media, NASCAR has determined that Gragson has violated the member conduct section of the 2023 NASCAR rule book and has placed him under indefinite suspension.” Screenshots appear to show Gragson, 25, liked a meme on Instagram making light of the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody in May 2020.
