IIT BHU Director Amit Patra now holds additional role at IIT Kharagpur

Professor Amit Patra has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of serving as the Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Professor Patra has held numerous leadership roles at the institute, including Dean of Alumni Affairs and International Relations and Deputy Director. Renowned for his expertise in areas such as power management circuits, mixed-signal VLSI design, fault diagnostics, prognostics, and embedded control systems, Professor Patra has made significant contributions to research and academia. Between 2004 and 2007, Professor Patra served as the professor in charge of the Advanced VLSI Design Lab at IIT Kharagpur. This new assignment reflects Professor Patra’s enduring commitment to excellence in education, research, and leadership within the IIT system.
