India doesn't take Priyanka Gandhi seriously: UP minister on Rs 10 lakh treatment promise

Uttar Pradesh medical education minister Suresh Khanna on Wednesday took a dig at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and said the people of the country don’t take her seriously. Khanna said that Priyanka Gandhi is giving statements of free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh but the people of the country do not take her seriously. The state medical education minister pointed out that when the UPA coalition was in power, only Rs 30,000 worth of free treatment was available to people. In a major poll promise ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Priyanka Gandhi announced that the Congress would provide free medical treatment and healthcare facilities up to Rs 10 lakh if voted to power in the state.
