Class 3 and 6 NCERT textbooks with new syllabus to be available in April, May
The National Council of Educational Research and Training has announced the release of textbooks for Classes 3 and 6 under the new syllabus. NCERT's decision to launch the textbooks aligns with the recent directive from the Central Board of Secondary Education, mandating the adoption of new syllabi and textbooks for Classes 3 and 6 from the upcoming academic session. ALIGNING WITH NATIONAL CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK The decision to revamp textbooks for Classes 3 and 6 stems from the need to align with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education. Amid these changes, NCERT has devised a "bridge programme" for Class 6 and "brief guidelines" for Class 3, facilitating a smooth transition for schools affiliated with CBSE, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
