Ranking the Falcons’ top unrestricted free agents: Will Drew Dalman, Justin Simmons return?
New York TimesFLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have 22 unrestricted free agents heading into this offseason, and head coach Raheem Morris said determining which of those players they want to return is the team’s first order of business. Center Drew Dalman Dalman may have more value in Atlanta than he would have anywhere else in the league simply because of how much value the Falcons put on offensive line consistency. Wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge Hodge has had only 34 catches in the last three years at wide receiver for the Falcons, but he made the most of his 231 snaps on offense this season, catching the game-winning 45-yard pass in overtime against Tampa Bay in Week 5 and making an athletic 24-yard grab against Carolina in Week 18. Woerner wore a microphone in the Falcons’ season finale and in the video released by the team after the game could be heard telling Dwelley, “Whatever happens … let’s have some fun.” Dwelley caught one pass this season for 5 yards.
