Jagan Mohan Reddy failed students, Rs 6,500 crore education dues: Nara Lokesh
India TodayAndhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh accused the previous government of burdening the state with Rs 6,500 crore in dues, affecting students and the education sector. Responding sharply to former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statements on X, Lokesh criticised the previous administration’s “waste governance”, claiming it failed to fulfil promises of fee reimbursement. Lokesh, who is also Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s son, slammed Jagan for allegedly introducing the Central Board of Secondary Education system into the state unprepared, leading to a 90 per cent failure rate among students. Lokesh also emphasised on the efforts to restore basic amenities in schools and bring the education sector back on track under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.
