Hyderabad Airport Sets Record With 87,000 Fliers in One Day
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: Hyderabad has witnessed the highest growth in terms of passenger traffic among the top five metros in India in April-September, compared to the same period in 2023, according to data provided by the Airports Authority of India Hyderabad recorded an 11.7 per cent increase in passenger traffic, followed by Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai saw 3.3 per cent more fliers. In October, AAI said, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, handling nearly 25 lakh passengers, a 22 per cent increase over the same month. This growth was seen across both domestic and international sectors, with domestic passenger traffic rising by 22.7 per cent year-over-year and international traffic by 16.3 per cent. Additionally, RGIA managed 17,553 aircraft movements during the month, reflecting a 19 per cent growth compared to the previous year.
