India TodayPeople's Democratic Party leader Iltija Mufti's recent "Hindutva is a disease" remark has sparked a political row with the ruling BJP accusing Mehbooba Mufti's daughter of creating a divide in society and the Congress advocating for mutual respect among religions. Hindutva is a disease that's afflicted millions of Indians & sullied God's name," Iltija Mufti said after a video of 3 minor Muslim boys being forced to chant 'Jai Shri Ram' in Madhya Pradesh went viral on social media. Reacting to Iltija Mufti's remark, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi called Hindutva an integral part of India's culture and heritage. West Bengal BJP leader Agnimitra Paul also slammed Iltija Mufti, alleging that she and her mother, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, have consistently spoken out against India.
