Global outage According to Reuters, users in Asia, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Europe reported issues while sending and receiving texts and videos on WhatsApp. At around 0750 GMT, outage reporting site Downdetector showed over 68,000 users had reported problems with the app in the United Kingdom. “WhatsApp stopped working for many users across France on Tuesday, with around 9,540 problems registered in the last 24 hours about the Meta Platforms owned service on the Downdetector,” Reuters added. "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," a Meta spokesperson said.
