Yadgir district to host five-day Scouts and Guides Jamboree starting Friday
Yadgir district will host the second Kalyan Karnataka Regional Jamboree from January 17 to 21, district president of Bharat Scouts and Guides Organisation Suresh Sajjan has said. Nearly 3,000 student members from schools and colleges from all the seven districts of the Kalyan Karnataka region are participating in the five-day event,” Mr. Sajjan said and added that donors have made financial contribution to conducting the event successfully. Minister for Small Scale Industries and Public Enterprises Sharanabasappa Darshanapur, who has also promised financial assistance, will inaugurate the day’s first event, while the former Minister and chief of Bharat Scouts and Guides Karnataka P.G.R. Explaining how Yadgir has got an opportunity to host the Jamborate, Mr. Sajjan said that after the conclusion of the first such event in Bidar, “we demanded that the programme to be held in Yadgir.” But, at the same time, other districts, including Koppal and Ballari, had also come forward to host the event.
