Munna Bhai 3 in the pipeline: Rajkumar Hirani confirms working on script after Dutt biopic

Rajkumar Hirani confirms that he will take the Munna Bhai franchise forward but the third installment will not be titled Munna Bhai Chale America As filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is occupied with filming the Sanjay Dutt biopic with Ranbir Kapoor, he is also looking forward to his next, the much-awaited third installment of the immensely popular Munna Bhai franchise. He admitted that he had started working on the third installment, then titled Munnabhai Chale America, as soon as the second part, Lage Raho Munnabhai, released to a great response in 2006. DNA reports that after Munna Bhai Chale America was shelved, there was also rumours of filmmaker Subhash Kapoor directing the third installment. It was then that Hirani got so fascinated by Dutt’s anecdotes that he decided to make a biopic on the actor, further pushing the third part of Munna Bhai.
