Deputy Chief Health Officer Annaliese van Diemen said it appeared there were some breaches of physical-distancing measures at the hotel, with "closer mingling of these guards" than authorities would like. The new cases also included two people linked to a family outbreak, one close contact of a known case associated with the Rydges on Swanston Hotel outbreak, and one returned traveller in hotel quarantine.
