'Sword hangs over Mike Johnson's neck': GOP rep says time running out for speaker
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she still plans to move forward with her effort to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson, saying she warned him in a meeting that she's "watching what happens" on Ukraine funding and the reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. "I think the sword hangs over Mike Johnson's neck," Perry said. On Tuesday, Greene sent a scathing letter to her fellow GOP lawmakers accusing Johnson of failing to gain wins for conservatives, daring to work with President Joe Biden and Democrats to fund the government, and slamming his plan to approve aid to Ukraine. “I will not tolerate our elected Republican Speaker Mike Johnson serving the Democrats and the Biden administration and helping them achieve their policies that are destroying our country,” Greene said in her letter.
