Confucius Institute is 'platform' for cultural exchanges in Cambodia

"The Confucius Institute has not only provided a high quality Chinese education, but also served as a window to the unique Chinese culture as well as a bridge to promote the bond of Cambodia-China friendship," she said while attending recent celebrations of the Confucius Institute Day at the Asia Euro University. "The Confucius Institute is a cache of knowledge for learners of Chinese and a platform for cultural cooperation and development between Cambodia and China," says the 19-year-old. Chhang Meng Chhay, an 18-year-old freshman in the major of Chinese literature at the university's Chinese department, says the Confucius Institute is vital to promote the Chinese language, cultural exchanges, and mutual understanding between the people of Cambodia and China.
