Corporate executive honeytrapped in Gurugram, woman makes off with Rs 1.36 lakh

A senior automobile firm executive was allegedly honeytrapped here and robbed of Rs 1.36 lakh by a woman he had befriended on social media. He said on reaching his hotel room, he became unconscious and when he regained consciousness next morning, he found himself alone in the room with his wallet, cell phones, credit and debit cards, and identity cards all missing. During investigation it emerged that the woman had transferred Rs 1.36 lakh through the victim's cards to a bank account. "We have registered an FIR following the recommendation of Economic Offences Wing and efforts are on to nab the culprit," said ASI Ashok Kumar of Palam Vihar police station.
