China Daily

Dongsheng district, in Ordos city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region ranked 85th on the list of China's top 100 districts for urban economic development, according to a research report recently released by CCID Consulting. The report adheres to a "dual threshold" principle, requiring a regional GDP exceeding 80 billion yuan and general public budget revenue surpassing 2 billion yuan for evaluation across five key dimensions: economic strength, growth momentum, endogenous support, regional governance level, and inclusive development. In 2023, Dongsheng achieved a regional GDP of 103.05 billion yuan, an 11-percent year-on-year growth and the highest in the city. Additionally, its general public budget revenue reached 7.95 billion yuan, a 3.8 percent increase.
