Fijian authorities investigate suspected mass poisoning

Rachel Mealey: Fiji's Health Minister says toxicology tests haven't yet been completed to determine the cause of a suspected alcohol poisoning event at a five-star resort on the country's coral coast. Lice Movono: Rachel, today the Ministry of Health have told us they are awaiting the toxicology reports conducted by the Fiji police force into the two serious patients who were transferred to the Aspen Lutaka Hospital earlier. Lice Movono: Unfortunately, until the Fiji police force concludes its toxicology investigations, we don't know what exactly was consumed by the women who are now at the Lautoka Hospital. Lice Movono: Rachel, overnight, the Australian Foreign Affairs and Trade Smart Traveller platform did update its cautionary advice, telling people to look out for methanol poisoning.
